Abel Dupres set two new Lehman records following the Lightning’s lone meet of the week against Baruch (Jan. 9). Despite ultimately falling to the Bearcats in the 122-77 team loss, rookie Dupres had three top finishes. The freshman’s first top finish was in the 200-yard IM (2:03.97) which also set a new Lehman record. The DeWitt Clinton alum went on to break another school record in the 100-yard backstroke which he finished in a time of 55.62, also giving him the first place victory. Dupres’ final first place finish came in the 200-yard medley relay which he finished with a time of 1:41.55.
