Kenny Kim Is named CUNYAC/Applebee’s men’s swimming athlete of the week following two top times and a new school record. The senior from Ridgefield, New Jersey broke the Bearcats’ school record in the 200 yard freestyle in a matchup against conference opponent Lehman (Jan. 9). Kim was the first to touch the wall in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:48.78 breaking the previous school record that was also set by him in the 2010-11 CUNYAC Championships. He also went on to place first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 55.08 helping Baruch to the 122-77 victory. The Bearcats’ return to action January 19 in a non-conference matchup against SUNY-Maritime.
