In Staten Island’s 1-1 week, rookie Javon Cox averaged 8.5 points and 4.0 rebounds. In the Dolphins’ win of the week against Vaughn College (Dec. 29) the freshman forward knocked down all six of his shots on the field, including the three free throws totaling 15 points that game to go along with the four rebounds. The Ralph McKee alum shot 1-for-3 on the field, nabbed an additional four boards and swiped two steals in the in the loss against Illinois-Wesleyan (Dec. 30).
