Hunter College’s Chris Guerrero, the defending CUNYAC Champion garnered CUNY Athletic Conference recognition for his winning performance last weekend as also won the Mount Saint Mary's Invitational last week, finishing first in a time of 28:25 to help guide the Hawks to a fourth place finish. It is his first award of the season and sixth of his career.
As a team, Hunter scored 121 points to capture fourth place out of 15 teams running on the day. Guerrero ran a tight race, claiming victory with a 28:25 timestamp, edging out Union College's Gabe Sturges by just seven tenths of a second.
Both the men and women's cross country teams return to action next week when they head to Brach Brook Park in New Jersey to compete in the Highlander Invite.
