Jessica Wu, a three-time winner of the CUNYAC Rookie of the Week award, earns her first honor as Player of the Week after leading Baruch to a 3-1 record last week.
The freshman from California began the week with a double-double of 10 kills (.409) and assists to lead the team to a 3-0 home sweep against CSI on September 20. She followed that up with eight kills (.800 hitting percentage), five aces and 10 dogs in a neutral site win over Alvernia in the team’s first match of the FDU-Florham Quad on Sept. 23. She totaled eight kills and seven digs against FDU-Florham and five kills (.546) and four aces over New Jersey City to help the team finish 2-1 at the Quad.
