Senior First Basemen Ashley Allen had a field day in the Bulldogs' lone doubleheader of the week, helping to power BC to a sweep over conference rival John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Brooklyn took the opener 9-2 and finished off the nightcap short due to the run rule, taking game two 12-4 (5 innings).
Allen would set the tone for her slugfest day in game one, going 2-for-3 at the dish with a two-run double and a two-run triple, to go along with two runs scored. Game two would feature much of the same for Allen, as she went a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate, highlighted by a two-run home run.
In the twin bill, Allen combined to go 4-for-5 (.800) with eight RBI, three runs scored, a double, a triple, a home run and a sacrifice fly. She also posted a .667 on base and a 2.000 slugging percentage.
