Despite John Jay not having any games the past seven days, senior softball player Christina Perez is the first CUNYAC Player of the Week for the 2011 season, which includes all games play so far this season. And so far this season, the four year player has torn it up. The two-time CUNYAC All-Star batted .714 (5-for-7) with six runs, a homerun, four RBI and five walks for a 1.143 slugging percentage and .833 on base percentage. She recorded at least one hit in each of the three games she saw action in as the Bloodhounds competed in four games at the Virginia Beach Blast Games in Virginia Beach March 4-5 against Albright College, Pitt-Greensburg, Gallaudet University and Emory & Henry College. She was 1-for-3 in the game against Albright, before going 1-for-1 with a homerun, three runs, RBIs and walks against Pitt-Greensburg. Then against Gallaudet University, she was 3-for-3 with three runs and an RBI.
