Brooklyn senior SABRINA WASHINGTON is the CUNY Athletic Conference Women’s Cross Country Rookie of the Week, for the week ending October 24th. Taking part in the College of Staten Island Invitational this past Sunday, October 24th at Van Cortlandt Park, Washington led all Brooklyn runners finishing the 6K course with a time of 26:19.93, good for third place overall in the field of 55 runners. Her time of 26:19.93 was also a career best, improving on her time of 27:07.70 at the Brooklyn College Invitational back on October 10th. This marks the fourth time this season that Washington has been honored by the conference as the rookie of the week. She has also been honored as the runner of the week once this season.
