CCNY’s MELISSA BLASS played a big role in helping the Beavers put forth a 3-1 record in the St. Joseph’s College (Long Island) Tournament this past weekend. In a five-set victory over Ramapo College, the senior outside-hitter recorded 13 kills while committing just five errors and hitting .296 for the match. She also added four digs and three block assists. Against Lehman College (in a non-conference match), the Oneonta, NY native tallied 12 kills and committed just two errors while hitting .588. and adding a pair of digs and a pair of service aces in a three-set victory over the Lightning. Following that, she contributed 12 kills and two digs while hitting .417 as the Beavers turned back Farmingdale in three sets.
