2017-18 StudentsFirst Rewards Winners Announced at MCU Park

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (Jun. 19, 2018) - On Tuesday night, the City University of New York Athletic Conference announced the winners of its StudentsFirst Rewards contest for 2017-18, as part of CUNY Night at MCU Park in Brooklyn.

In addition to awarding two students with free tuition for a year, the CUNYAC recognized each of its Players and Rookies of the Year from this season, across all 21 of the league's championship sports.

Those student-athletes were invited to watch the Brooklyn Cyclones' game after the ceremony, and see their names listed on the stadium's videoboard.

Sponsored by Municipal Credit Union, the free tuition was awarded to Hunter College's Melissa Victorin and City University of New York School of Public Health and Health Policy's Otobong Eno.

"I am very happy that I won the free tuition, because I put a lot of effort into it," said Eno. "I appreciate CUNY for the opportunity."

"To see all the hard work I put in to going to the games is a relief," Victorin commented. "It is a great feeling to win."

About the StudentsFirst Rewards Program
The CUNYAC started the StudentsFirst Rewards program as an initiative to create an immersive experience for athletes and spectators alike who attend or play in a CUNY athletic competition. To earn points, CUNY students must attend CUNYAC Championship events. Students use an online ticketing system prior to the event and check in at the ticketing desk upon arrival. Only current CUNY students are eligible for prizes and the name on your CUNY ID must match the name registered online. The points will be totaled following the end of the semester and the top two point-getters receive FREE TUITION FOR A YEAR.
