Peter Dehayza has been named the CUNYAC/US Army Men’s Track & Field Performer of the Week for the week 3/31 to 4/6. The Valley Stream native recorded his careeer best performances in the men’s 100 meter dash, finishing second with a final time of 11.00, which was good enough to qualify him for the CTC and ECAC championships. The junior finished in 9th in the long jump, posting a 5.93 meter mark, and placed solidly in the 200 meter dash with a 22.82 mark.

Roshane Wright has been named the CUNYAC/US Army Men’s Track & Field Rookie of the Week for the week of 3/31 to 4/6. The freshman standout performed well for the Beavers this past weekend, snagging a third place finish in the 4X400 relay and fourth place finish in the long jump with a final time of 6.27 meters.

CCNY Beavers
The City College of New York men's and women's outdoor track and field teams competed on Saturday at the Yellow Jacket Invitational hosted by American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts. CCNY scored in many events in a field dominated by Division I and II programs. Jemaal Alexander qualified for the CUNYAC Championships in the 200 meters with a time of 22.98. Christopher Laing qualified for the CUNYACs in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.47. Laing also posted a 23.48 in the 200 meter dash.

York Cardinals
This week was a strong week for the York men's track and field team at their meet in New Jersey for the Stockton College Osprey Open. Their youngest sprinters, sophomore Shaquille Hodge and freshman Roshane Wright were some of the biggest standouts for CUNYAC in this event.
Hodge had a fourth-place finish in the 100-meter dash (11.52) as well as a fifth-place finish in the 200-meter dash (22.63). Wright performed strong in the long jump, placing fourth at 6.27m and also teamed up with Hodge, Tarik Weekes and Jesus Medina for the 4x400-meter relay, in which York came in third with a time of 3:27.16.
York's next meet will be at the TCNJ Invitational on Saturday April 12th.
