The Lehman College Athletic department announced the appointment of Nate Wainwright as Associate Director of Athletics.
Wainwright comes to Lehman College after serving successfully with three NFL teams, the New Orleans Saints, 1998-2000, New York Jets, 2001-2005 and the Kansas City Chiefs, 2006-2008. Wainwright served the Chiefs and Jets as the Executive Administrator/Manager of Football Operations under Head Coach Herman Edwards.
“I am happy to announce the appointment of Nate Wainwright as Associate Director of Athletics effective July 12, 2010” said Dr. Martin Zwiren, Director of Athletics. “Wainwright's 10 years of National Football League administrative and coaching experience and knowledge of college athletics will only serve our department in many positive ways. Nate is a proven and seasoned administrator and will add many aspects to the future of our athletics program.”
Wainwright was also very happy about this opportunity to work in collegiate sports. “I am thrilled to be a part of the Lehman College athletic staff” said Wainwright. “I feel that with my management skills and the outstanding athletic facilities we have at Lehman, I can help make a difference in the future of the athletic program and assist our coaches and student-athletes become the best that they can be”.
The Wilton, Iowa native is a 1998 graduate of the University of Iowa with a degree in Communications. Wainwright and his wife Natalie reside in New York City.
